Personal Assistance Services (PAS) - When a personal care aide provides physical assistance with the activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living and health maintenance activities for individuals who are unable to perform one or more of these activities independently. This includes bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, ambulating and eating.
Since 2006, Victory Support Services has prided itself on providing Medicaid home and community-based services and licensed home care agency services for those who are not capable of self-preservation without assistance. These individuals are living with physical and/or developmental disabilities who require extensive personal assistance and/or respite care services
Victory's direct care staff must pass criminal and child abuse background checks as well as a health screening for tuberculosis prior to employment. Our staff has undergone extensive training and have past state recognized competency tests in home care services which include: personal care, Alzheimer's and dementia care, infection control, safety, assistance with medication and pain management, independence and confidentiality, end-of-life care, nutrition and ADL's/IADL's.
Victory Support Services is glad to accept the following PA Waivers: Aging Waiver for 60 and over, Independence Waiver for ages 18 to 59 and the OBRA Waiver for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Our Aging waiver serves Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester and Delaware. Our Independence and OBRA Waivers serve Philadelphia county.
